New Year's

I finally got the results of my second pap test back and thank goodness it came back fine.   Glad everything is okay and I don't have anything bad going on down there!

Happy New Year!  What are your plans for tomorrow evening?  Nothing here.....we have no plans.  I'm not sure what we'll do, maybe rent a couple movies, drink some wine or champagne and then hope I don't fall asleep.  Last year I had such a fun time partying downtown with my friend Audrey.  This year will be quieter. 

Not too much else going on.   My kids are going nuts in this house.  It's time for them to go back to school.  They are making the house a disaster zone!

Does anybody have any New Year's Resolutions?  My only one is to work on my abs until the are rock hard.  Haa ha ha haa!  We'll see if that actually happens.

Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas!!!  How was your day? 

Mine started off very early at 1 am, when Camden got up to pee and noticed Santa had delivered the goods.  He went crazy trying to get to the Christmas tree, but Ron held him back and had to sleep with him the rest of the night, so that he wouldn't get up and go get into everything.  He said every hour on the hour he was asking to get up and see what Santa left him. Haa ha haa!!!

The boys enjoyed all of their gifts and after the madness of the morning died down, I fixed some homemade waffles in the waffle iron.  My friend Donna gave me some delicious buckwheat pancake dry mix, as well as some syrup.  So, I mixed up the batter and added chopped pecans and prepared a yummy breakfast. 

Afterwards, I hung out on iTunes trying to find some good music to download with the gift card I received.  I found some stuff and while it was downloading, I mixed up a sweet potato casserole and put it in the oven.

We headed over to my mom's around 1:15 pm for dinner.  It was extra yummy this year, as we didn't do much for Thanksgiving.  Plus, I haven't eaten like that in a long long time!  Every bite was so delicious!  My mom also made the homemade wine-jelly and homemade whipped cream that my grandmother used to make.  I look forward to that every year.

Afterwards was gift opening.  My mom was bawling when I gave her the scrapbook that I made for her.  It is all photos of my dad and us family members.  She really really loved it.  I'm so glad.  I enjoyed making it. 

I am not sure if I even mentioned the scrapbooks that I made this year for gifts.  I made scrapbooks for my hoochie friends, Donna, Audrey and Mary Beth.  I made a scrapbook for my best friend Missie.  I made a scrapbook for my mom.  All of them were so much fun to make!!!  It was the funnest project I had this holiday season!!!!!

We came home around 5 pm and I've been relaxing ever since.  Another ending to another great Christmas!  Glad it's over!

Sunday

I've been terrible about updating my blog.  I suck!  I know I suck..I admit it.  LOL   I just don't really have much to say, I suppose. 

Christmas is coming!!!!  Have you finished your shopping?  I have, except for some stocking stuffers.  It has really stressed me out this year and I hate being stressed.  Usually, I would be eating like a mad woman....now that I don't eat like that, it's hard to deal with my stress.  So, I do the opposite and don't eat.  Which isn't healthy.  This morning I got home from church and thought I was going to pass out...low blood sugar.  So, I ate some Reindeer Poop.  Bwaa ha ha haa!!!  Seriously, it's chocolate covered peanuts that my dear friend Donna gave me for Christmas.  They were delicious!  I laid down for 10 minutes until the sugar kicked in and then I was fine.

I really need to up my calorie intake now.  I lost more weight this week and am only 1.6 lbs away from my last final complete goal, so it's time to start really upping the calories.  1,200 is too low.  Hell, even 1,500 is too low at this point.  I just can't bring myself to eat 1,500 a day.  It's going to take me a few weeks to adjust....I'm scared to eat.  Yes, I'll admit it.  But I need to now that I'm at my drop dead lowest weight.

Ron and I went to the new Bass Pro Shops last night here in town.  The place is freaking huge!!!  The boys enjoyed all the "man stuff" and I enjoyed just looking at everything.  They even have a Fudge/Candy shop, a restaurant, santa land, a nascar shop and some other cool stuff!  After that we came home and hibernated.

This morning was church, which I love during this time of year...the poinsettias are beautiful and we sang a lot of Christmas music.  I'm doing laundry now, but need to run out shopping for my mother's birthday gift and Austin needs to do some Christmas shopping.  Tonight we are going back to church for a group that sings acapella.  They are awesome!!!

I have to work this week, but it won't be too bad.  Only til 1 pm on Monday and the office is shutting down at 1 pm on Wednesday.  I like work....since Ron will be home all week with Camden...that would drive me nuts to be here with him all week.  We have a strange marriage. LOL

Down Time at Work

I have some down time at work today, so I thought I'd post a blog.  I never seem to have time when I'm at home, or somebody is interrupting me. 

Yesterday, I had my second gyn exam and she said she highly doubted anything was wrong, but just wanted to make sure.  I should know the results of that next week.  I'm not worrying about it anymore.

I've been shopping, trying to whittle away at this Christmas gift list.  I think I'm about done.  Just need to get my mom one more gift and get stocking stuffers and I think that's about it.  Christmas is always so stressful.  Why can't it just be relaxing and enjoyable like you see on those holiday commercials?  *sigh*

Saturday evening we took Camden to see Santa Claus and the photo turned out adorable!  I'll have to scan it and post it here later today when I get home from work. 

The weather totally sucks today.  It's freezing cold and rainy and damp.  It chills me to the bone!  Yesterday was so nice...warm and sunny.  I even wore shorts to the gym last night to workout.  Crazy weather.  I think tonight I'm doing a comfort food dinner....eggs, sausage, biscuits and hash browns. Mmmmm...I cannot wait!

This is gonna be a good week.  Thursday I'm going to lunch with two old co-worker buddies of mine.  They are a hoot!!  I can't wait to see them.  Then, on Friday I am meeting two of my high school friends for lunch downtown.  Two lunch dates in one week...yay for me!

So, have all your dreams for 2008 come true?  I think mine have for the most part.  The biggest one was the weight loss and I accomplished that.  I have a few other wishes that came true, as well.  Life is a funny thing sometimes.

Update to Last Post

Okay, follow up to my last post. The reason why I went off birth control pills is because Ron got a vasectomy back in April and there is no need for me to be on the pill anymore.  We are not trying to have another baby.  I'm WAY DONE with that!!!!!  Oh hellz no!

Saturday Evening

This has been a busy weekend.  Last night I met some of my friends for our annual Christmas gathering of dinner and gifts.  The families were with us, so it was a low key night.  No alcohol, no music, no dancing, no staying up all night long.  LOL  We had fun!

Today I have been shopping most of the day trying to get my ass in gear.  I just am not into the holidays at all this year.  It doesn't seem like it's really holiday season.  Eh...it'll all be over soon.

I got some not so great news earlier this week.  My annual GYN exam (pap) came back with some abnormal stuff on it, so I have to go back in on Monday for another pap.  I'm scared of what they might find.  Just my luck...I lost 42 pounds, get off birth control pills for the first time in years and now I may have something I don't even want to think about!!!  Uh..........scary.  No wonder I lost another pound this week.   I have been a bundle of nerves.

Weekend Wrapup

This weekend has been very fast.  Ron was out of town the first part of the weekend, so I went out to dinner with my mom on Friday night.  We got Chinese and then did some shopping.  Saturday, we rode over to an annual art/craft show and spent the entire day shopping at that!  I bought some gifts for my inlaws and some wonderful smelling handmade soaps for myself. 

When I got home from the show there were 2 large boxes of chocolate products on my front porch.  They were from the chocolate party I had a couple weeks ago.  I was drooling over all my guests' orders...chocolate martini kits, mixes, chocolate brownie mixes, cookie mixes, mousse kits, pure chocolate for melting for fondue, dusting powders, chocolate candies.  Ooh heaven awaits!!!!!  But I had to give most of it to its rightful owners. 

I am giving some chocolate covered graham crackers to Ron's 99 year old grandmother.  I think she'll like those.  She loves chocolate.  I'm givnig my mom some chocolate covered almonds and cranberries.  We have chocolate covered pretzels for ourselves.  Mmmmm......and I have lots more, but I need to put it away and not eat it all at once.

Today was church and then shopping!  I bought Ron's niece a gift card to Old Navy for Christmas and got both of his nieces some of those soft plush socks.  Then, I walked over to Marshalls and scored me some high heel brown boots!  I've been wanting them for 3 years now.  It's about time I bought them!  I'm wearing them to work tomorrow with a short skirt.

Tomorrow will be busy at work....the Christmas cards are ready and I'm going to be stuffing and mailing 900 cards.  It gets me in the festive spirit!!!

Hell Day

Today was horrendous!  I got up this morning, got the kids off to school, got ready for work and headed out the door.  I got in my car and nothing......the battery seemed to be dead.  I called my mom to come get me and take me to work...Of course, I was over 30 minutes late for work.  Uh!!!  My mom brought me home this afternoon and when Ron got home him and Austin went to take the battery out of the car and luckily it was just a loose clamp...not a dead battery.  Thank goodness!!!!

But this is when the day got reallllly bad!!!  We dropped Austin off at his job and headed over to Pizza Hut for dinner.  We never eat there and it has probably been three years since we ate there last.  The only reason we went was because Camden earned a free personal pan pizza thru his school and we wanted to use the coupon.

We went in there and waited like 10 minutes to be seated.  Then we ordered and we waited and waited and waited and waited...and after one hour had gone by we asked where the hell our pizzas were and they brought one out that was cold and the other one hadn't even been fixed yet.  I was livid.  So we got up to pay for our drinks and left and took one cold pizza with us.  Then we walked over to Arby's and ordered a sandwich and ate it in the car in the dark.  I was so irritated.  So was Ron.  Four other families left the restaurant in disgust before we did.  What horrible service!!!

Ron and Camden are going out of town for the weekend, so I'll be alone until Saturday night.  Yay me!!!!  I may have already said this, I can't remember.  I'm losing my mind.

Crampy

I feel like crap.  Ever since I went off the pill back in July my periods are horrible.   Headache, tired and crampy crampy crampy.  Uh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron is going out of town this weekend with Camden, so I have Friday night and all day Saturday to myself.  HELLZ YES!   I don't know what I will do Friday night, but whatever it is I will enjoy it...even if it's just sitting on the sofa.  I'll be alone!  Austin will be at work Friday night. 

Saturday my mom and I are going to a craft show (Bizzare Bazzarr) and I hope to find some gifts there.  We'll enjoy the day and have lunch.

We put up our Christmas tree this past weekend.  I'm so glad that is done.  We bought a little one for Camden to decorate and put it in his bedroom.  It's adorable!

I swear this blog entry sucks.  I'm sorry...I just haven't been in the mood to write lately.  *sigh*
