No Room... My Life is Full

Last Day

Today will be my last day at our current office location.  Hard to believe, as I have always worked in this office park area of Richmond since 1993....it's gonna be strange driving to a new area of town.  We are about done packing, so I'm hoping they let me go home early today.  That would be nice!!!!

Tomorrow evening is the Greek Festival!  Bring on the good stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait!

A Day at the Lake

We had an absolutely, positively, smashing, wonderful, yummy, delicious, kick-ass day at Lake Anna State Park today!!!!  Weather was perfect, Camden was well behaved and Ron and I didn't get into a single fight!  Life in the world is good!  Haa ha haa!

 

 

 

 

  

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Hope everyone has a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!  My family and I are going to the lake today...it's supposed to be 86 degrees!  Yeah!!!  We are taking Ron's canoe, as well, so that he can paddle around in that.

We had such a wonderful evening last night.  We were busy all week cleaning up our deck, planting flowers in the clay pots, etc. and last night we grilled out and drank wine on the deck.  What a perfect evening for it, too!  The weather was just right!!!  I plan to grill out again tonight....probably burgers or pork/pineapple shishkebobs.

Well, I should get going...time to start packing for our day trip.  We also have two cookouts to go to this weekend.  Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Love the Month of May!

Last night I went out with my high school girlfriends for drinks & dinner.  We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the warm evening breeze.   One girl made a dessert for another girl's birthday.  It was a ton of fun!!!!   We plan to get together again soon....possibly for 4th of July!  Yeah!!!  Bring on the fun!

Today I got up early to run and then drove my mom to the airport.  She is spending a week in Sarasota, Florida at the beach!  Lucky her!  I wish my vacation were coming up.  Oh wait, it is!  We are going to Houston, TX in just a month from today!  I am looking forward to that trip.

Camden's last soccer game was today at noon.  The kids had a blast playing their last game.  Then, I gave them all homemade chocolate chip cookies and Ron handed out the trophies.  One of the boys on the team wrote Ron the sweetest note thanking him for being his coach.  How sweet is that?  

We had lunch at Subway and then I ran over to Target to get some chair cushions for my wrought iron set outside on the deck.  I walked over to Home Depot and picked up a bunch of pretty flowers, too, for the clay pots on my deck.  The deck just needs to be power washed and it'll be all clean again. 

Oh and Ron and I planned a trip to NYC for mid-September!  Yay!!!  It's going to be a "delayed anniversary trip", since our 9 year anniversary is June 3.  We are looking forward to lots of alone time!!!!!  hee he he hee!!!!!

Cookies, Packing & Soccer

Man oh Man, my job is killing me these days!  We have so much work to do to get ready for our move.  I am still dealing with this stupid database conversion.........I guess I shouldn't complain because I love the extra money I'm making with all the time I am putting in at home.  Next week we start packing up our files...we have tons and tons of files.  We'll be packing up as much as we can so that we'll be ready to move the weekend after Memorial Day.  I love my job but I'm exhausted!

Camden's last soccer game is this Saturday and I think I'm going to bake homemade cookies for Camden and his team members.  Ron has trophies for each of them, too.  I'll be glad when this season is over with.  It's fun but makes things difficult during the school week. 

Uh, this is so boring it's putting me to sleep....and the season finale of The Office is on, so I'm gonna go.  Bye!

Mother's Day Weekend

I wrote a long entry yesterday, only to have Typepad lock up and I lost it all.  This is one of the reasons I hate blogging these days.  Frusterating.  Anyway, I basically was talking about how long my week has been with all the extra time I have been putting in doing office work from home.  

Then I talked about Mother's Day weekend and how Austin surprised me with this gorgeous pot of tulips (bulbs still attached, so I can plant them later after the blooms die).

 

Camden's Kindergarten class had a "Mothers Day Tea", with lemonade, cookies (no tea?) and each child wrote something special about their mom and read it in front of the class.  It was very very sweet and special.  I loved it!!

Yesterday morning I took my mom to a wonderful new restaurant in town for breakfast!  This place has a french bistro feel to it.  I love going there!  We had bacon, eggs, potatoes, huge muffins, grapefruit juice and coffee.  Also, my mom had french toast stuffed with cream cheese and strawberries, blueberries and a glaze on top.  I had to portion control my food so that I didn't eat too much.  The extra came home in a box for Ron and Austin.

Happy Mother's Day to all my Mommy friends!!!!  Hope your family treats you well today!  My family is taking me and my mom out for lunch today for some Italian.  Yum!
